ode to otis

Been listening to a whole lot of Otis lately. After coming home from work, he is a real good pick me up. And most of the songs remind me of my mama dancing in the living room. It’s too bad he left us so long ago, I bet his concerts would leave you feelin’ good for a month! Thank you Otis.

dusk dreaming

Dusk is my favorite time of day. When I was little, a family friend told me that dusk is when gnomes and garden fairies come out to gather food. I think I pretended to be skeptical, but I was a BIG believer. Ever since then, there has always been something magical about dusk. The light, the smells, the sounds and everyone coming home at the end of the day. It’s truly my favorite.

The colors and light make it so lovely. Dusk is the perfect time for a walk, don’t you think?

tiny flickering says hello

These days I bet more blogs are born each day than children…but that hasn’t stopped anyone yet. I’ve been spending a little too much time thinking about the things that I don’t like (which has it’s own place and time), and I wanted a place to focus more on the simple things that make life a happy, interesting & meaningful experience.

That’s where Tiny Flickering comes in. A place for things that make me (& maybe you) sometimes feel that little movement in your heart, reminding you that it’s there. My hope is to collect not just what inspires and interests me, but include new things from others to share in this space as well.
